What is a fun fact about myself?
Currently I’m writing a story set in a post-apocalyptic world. I LOVE to lose myself in my writing. In my undergrad experience, I was struck by how writing memoirs, poetry, and short stories all pushed me to finally say significant things that I couldn’t have ever even found the words to think of before but had long felt as painful, omnipresent tensions in my body.
What can you expect as my client?
You can expect a non-judgmental environment where your inner thoughts and most hidden emotions truly matter. Therapy is your time to shine—a dedicated space to reflect, heal, and envision the changes you seek. My intention is to show up charismatically kind and respectfully curious, motivated by sincere human connection and my strong belief that everyone has the potential to heal. My passion for curiosity and creativity helps me cultivate sessions that are warm, exploratory, and uniquely tailored for your own personal journey. The heart of therapy, to me, is a shared journey of rewriting. Together we untangle the narratives that limit growth, highlight the strengths hidden in shadows, and foster new perspectives that open doors to resilience and hope. Could this be the next page of your story?
Who am I outside of therapy?
In my personal life, I can be found immersed in writing poetry or short stories, reading anything from feminist Greek mythology to historical fiction, playing a cozy videogame with my two cats on my lap, enjoying a rejuvenating vanilla latte, indulging my love for eccentric trinkets at antique stores, watching Adventure Time, or modeling productive rest and sweet self-care.
How did I become a therapist?
In my undergrad experience, I had a particular problem: I was interested in it ALL. I was a Spanish major for a few years, an education studies major, a women’s studies major, a gender & sexualities major, and ultimately, softly landed on an English major, with a creative writing minor, as well as gender & sexualities minor. It was perplexing for my loved ones to watch myself seemingly unable to find an anchor while also never losing passion for anything—my dream career somewhere on the tip of the tongue. During the pandemic, weeks after graduating from undergrad, I was forced to sit still as we all waited for the world to resume. I permitted myself to fully reflect upon my past, present, and future. I connected with myself and honored the fact that, always, my aspirations had been to have a career where I’m able to be authentic with my interactions, be brave with my words, and have the most human heart-to-hearts. The answer arrived.
– M.A. (in progress): Professional Mental Health Counseling, Lewis & Clark College (completion in May 2026)
– B.A.: English, creative writing minor, gender & sexualities minor, Portland State University (2021)
My studies and ongoing training focus on narrative therapy, mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, mind-body connection, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), body positivity, evidence-based interventions, and support for LGBTQIA+ communities.
I am a queer, disabled, neurodivergent, coffee-enthusiast human. Most of my experiences with clients (so far!) have been about exploring and deep diving into topics such as anxiety, depression, difficulties managing anger, relational issues, multiculturism, gender and sexuality, LGBTQIA+ experiences, life transitions, systemic oppression, stress, and trauma.
My ideal client is someone ready to watch themselves let their walls come down—brick by brick—and dare to gaze honestly into their past and present experiences. Therapy is a collaborative process, and the clients who thrive with me are those ready for transformation, even if (and especially if) it begins with just a single step. It’s important to me that you know that therapy with me is not about fixing what’s “broken”—it’s about honoring the full spectrum of your lived experiences and traveling with you as you uncover your strengths, illuminate your inner intentions, and inspire your own self to grow. Your life story—muddled, beautiful, and exclusively yours—is both normal and welcome here.
