Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Frank Orellana, and I'm glad you're here.

What is a fun fact about myself?

I’ve played soccer my entire life and still like to consider myself an athlete! I played at the collegiate level and semi-professionally in the UPSL.

What can you expect as my client?

As my client, you can expect a safe, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and concerns. My approach is collaborative, client centered, and tailored to your specific needs. We will work together to identify your goals, explore any challenges, and grow, in order for you to heal at your own pace.

Who am I outside of therapy?

Outside of therapy, I am a very active person. I love many different forms of exercise but my main three are Soccer, Running, and Weight Lifting. This past summer I competed in three different relay races including Hood to Coast, which is considered the world’s largest running relay race. I plan on completing my first marathon sometime this next year, and much more to come!

Pronouns: He/Him

How did I become a therapist?

My path to therapy has been anything but traditional. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine with plans to become a physical therapist, but graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic gave me time to reevaluate my career goals. While working as a Physical Therapy Aide, Personal Trainer, and Youth Soccer Coach, I noticed a recurring theme: my clients’ mental health often played a major role in their physical progress. These experiences showed me how closely mental and physical well-being are connected, and inspired me to pursue therapy as a way to make a deeper, more meaningful impact on people’s lives.

Ideal Clients

I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in social work, along with a graduate certificate in clinical social work. Through this training, I am gaining a strong foundation in evidence-based practices, ethical care, and client-centered approaches to therapy. My education emphasizes understanding the whole person within their social, cultural, and environmental contexts, which allows me to provide thoughtful and compassionate support.

I am completing my clinical internship at True Heart Therapy under the supervision of Melissa Brandfield, LMFT. A lot of my current experience comes from the health and wellness field, where I have worked as a youth soccer coach, physical therapy aide, and personal trainer. Through these roles, I gained hands-on experience supporting individuals across different ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, set goals, and overcome challenges. These experiences have allowed me to see firsthand how closely mental and physical well-being are connected, which ultimately led me to pursue a career in therapy. I bring this holistic perspective into my work, focusing on both emotional and overall wellness.

My ideal client is anyone who is open to exploring themselves, their experiences, and the changes they want to make in their life. I enjoy working with individuals at different stages of their personal journeys. Whether you are navigating stress, life transitions, personal growth, or specific challenges, I aim to meet you where you are and support you in moving toward your goals.
