What is a fun fact about myself?
I have two old lady kitties at home that are very fluffy and love to cuddle!
What can you expect as my client?
Warmth, compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I am interested in hearing your story.
Who am I outside of therapy?
I love fun and adventure! Outside of being a therapist, I spend time hanging out with my friends, creating art (mostly painting), making cosplays and going to cons, hiking through the forest, or traveling to new places.
How did I become a therapist?
I’ve always loved people and the intricacies of their lives and relationships. I’ve always been driven by a curiosity to explore the depths of others, and I love to help people, so I decided to go back to school when I was 24 in pursuit of this work.
I am a third-year graduate student at Lewis and Clark, in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. I am a student therapist at True Heart Therapy, as well as at the Lewis and Clark counseling center.
I have worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over four years, writing support plans to help my clients and their families have safer, healthier, and happier lives. While this work isn’t therapeutic in nature, it does require me to engage with compassion and curiosity, and assess clients with a holistic, systemic framework. In both this work and as a therapist, I am always person-centered—people are much more complex than how a diagnosis, a problem, or trauma might present them to be.
I’m excited to work with anyone, but I am most passionate about intellectually/developmentally disabled adults and their families, queer/trans folks, neurodivergent folks, folks who struggle with addiction/substance use, and non-traditional families/couples (poly folks, queer-platonic families, etc).
