Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Amy Zarzicki, and I'm glad you're here.

What is a fun fact about myself?

I spent over a decade as an artist and farmer: sculpting metal, weaving fabric, and growing food. Those experiences taught me patience, creativity, and how to see beauty in the process. I still find parallels between art-making, tending the land, and therapy, all requiring trust, care, and a willingness to sit with what’s unfolding.

What can you expect as my client?

You can expect an environment that feels safe, genuine, and collaborative. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you make sense of the patterns, emotions, and relationships that shape your life. I draw from systemic and attachment-informed perspectives and integrate mindfulness, compassion, and creativity into the process.

I view therapy as a partnership. You bring your lived experience; I bring curiosity, empathy, and structure to help you explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.

Who am I outside of therapy?

Outside of my clinical work, I’m an artist, writer, dancer, music lover, and lifelong student of the natural world. I love weaving, sculpting, photography, and spending time outdoors. I’m also deeply interested in history, myth, and memory; the ways stories shape who we are.

When I’m not studying or creating, you’ll probably find me exploring a trail, having long conversations with friends, or quietly observing the world around me (preferably near water or trees).

Pronouns: She/Her

How did I become a therapist?

My journey to becoming a therapist was not linear. I’ve worked in art, agriculture, and community-based spaces, all of which deepened my respect for human complexity and resilience. Over time, I realized that what I value most is listening, hearing people’s stories, helping them make meaning, and walking alongside them as they reclaim their voice and strength.

Returning to graduate school to become a Marriage and Family Therapist felt like a natural next step, a way to bring together my curiosity, creativity, and care for people into one meaningful path.

Ideal Clients

I am currently completing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University Worldwide. My coursework has emphasized systemic, humanistic, and culturally responsive approaches to therapy.

In addition to my graduate training, I hold a basic certification in Mediation and have completed Phase One Brainspotting training. I continue to study topics such as trauma, neurobiology, and identity through independent learning.
I also studied with author and teacher Martín Prechtel at Bolad’s Kitchen for over a decade, an experience that deepened my understanding of storytelling, grief, and the interconnectedness of all life. While this is not part of my clinical training, it profoundly informs how I listen and hold space for others.

I am completing my clinical internship at True Heart Therapy under the supervision of Melissa Bradfield, LMFT. In my work, I support individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relational challenges.

Before entering the field of therapy, I worked in creative and community settings that emphasized collaboration, adaptability, and empathy: experiences that continue to shape my presence as a clinician.

I feel especially drawn to people who are exploring who they are, healing from the past, or learning new ways to relate to themselves and others. I’m interested in helping clients understand their emotions, strengthen their relationships, and build a sense of self that feels grounded and true.
