Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Chloe Mascord, and I'm glad you're here.

I’m the Activity Center Coordinator and Case Manager. I watch the children who attend the Activity Center while their parents are guardians are in therapy!

What is a fun fact about myself?

During my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to volunteer in Coffman Cove, Alaska, where I assisted with multiple service projects. This experience helped me see how meaningful it can be to come together and support a diverse community.

What can you expect while in my care?

You can expect a space that feels engaging, supportive, and where every child can feel safe, valued, relaxed, and included. I strive to bring kindness, encouragement, and positivity into the time I spend with each child. I also want the Activity Center to be a place where kids can have fun, be creative, learn something new, and have opportunities to connect with other children.

Who am I outside of work?

I am currently a college student working toward my associate degree, with the goal of pursuing a career in pediatric Speech-Language Pathology. Outside of work, I enjoy reading a good book, journaling about my day, and having some time to myself with coffee in my hand. I also love cuddling with my two cats, visiting the Oregon Coast, and spending quality time with family and my childhood best friend.

What led me to want to work with children?

I discovered my passion for working with children early on when I learned about the preschool program offered at the high school I attended. After taking my first Child Development class, I knew working with children was something I wanted to continue pursuing. I became especially interested in learning how children of different ages grow, learn, and develop.

Ideal Clients

I completed an Education Pathway in high school, with a focus on early childhood development and working with young children. I am also certified in pediatric and adult CPR and First Aid.

I’ve worked with preschool and elementary-aged children through babysitting, volunteering with church programs, and hands-on experiences throughout my Education Pathway. During that program, I had opportunities to work one-on-one with preschoolers, plan and teach lessons, assist with classroom activities, and observe how children interacted and learned alongside one another.
While volunteering at summer camps, I have also supervised groups of elementary-aged children by helping lead a variety of activities, encouraging participation, and providing guidance and comfort when needed.

I find joy in working with children of different personalities and interests, whether they are outgoing and eager to jump into an activity or need a little more time to feel comfortable. My ideal child is simply one I can get to know as an individual and support in a way that helps them enjoy their time in the Activity Center.
