Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Lee Bloom, and I'm glad you're here.

What is a fun fact about myself?

I once had a two-week job running lines with Joan Rivers, for which I was paid in sandwiches (and one turkey burger) and a lock of fake hair.

What can you expect as my client?

I create a calm, warm, compassionate environment for you to explore your feelings and thoughts. Whether you want to understand yourself better, improve your relationships, heal old wounds, or make important decisions, I’ll lead with curiosity about your experience, offer support and insight, and always make space for humor. Therapy can be vulnerable, and I am committed to sitting with you in a space free from judgment. I am sex-positive, kink-friendly, sex worker-friendly, gender-affirming, queer-affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, and always excited to educate myself so I can add something new to the list. I believe you are the world’s leading expert on you. We’ll combine your expertise and my training to work toward achieving your goals.

Pronouns: He/Him

Who am I outside of therapy?

On an ideal day, I’d go for a long run, read a good book, spend some time doing something creative, make a delicious mess in the kitchen, and watch an episode of The Golden Girls for the 900th time. I also love a word puzzle and do a happy dance when my Monstera sprouts a new leaf.

How did I become a therapist?

After years struggling in unsatisfying roles in the tech industry, I was craving more engaging work. Therapy has been really helpful for me personally and a process I’ve come to believe in. As I thought about making a career change, I decided to pursue clinical work as a way to connect meaningfully with people while doing work I think adds value to their lives.

Ideal Clients

I am completing a Masters in Counseling from Antioch University on my way to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Antioch’s program centers social justice and decolonial perspectives in all aspects of the curriculum. I have pursued additional coursework and certifications in working with LGBTQIA2S+ populations, as well as certification in trauma-informed care.

I come from a varied professional background, including theatre, human resources, customer support, and UX writing. Each of these roles have helped me build empathy for others, grow as a collaborator, learn to advocate for people being overlooked, become an attuned listener, and think creatively about common problems. These are all skills that inform the way I show up in the therapy room.

My ideal client is thinking about how their identity has informed their experience of the world, asking questions about the stories they tell about themselves, and looking to break out of old patterns. I am especially interested in working with queer and neurodivergent people, but if any of what I’ve said on this page is resonating with you, I would be honored to be your therapist.
