Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Lori Thomas, and I'm glad you're here.

What is a fun fact about myself?

I have visited 13 National Parks across 4 countries!

What can you expect as my client?

My aim is to create a warm and welcoming space for clients to explore past experiences and work toward goals. By working collaboratively, we will build a relationship that promotes authenticity, empathy, and growth. My approach is gentle yet direct, with a healthy dose of humor. Together, we will examine ways in which culture, health, identity, and oppression impact health and well-being. I practice Relational Cultural Therapy and Ecotherapy and strive to work with you to find creative ways to strengthen your connection to self, others, and nature.

Who am I outside of therapy?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I spend my time reading, trying new hobbies, exploring nature, going on adventures, and traveling. I am passionate about animals – especially my two 9-year-old puppies, Athena and Peppermint.

Pronouns: She/Her

How did I become a therapist?

I have always held an interest in health and wellness. As a child, I enjoyed providing medical care for my teddy bears, but as I grew up, I realized people don’t have stuffing. During my undergrad experience, my interest in health and wellness was nurtured through my education in integrative health which emphasized the mind-body connection. After college, I explored jobs in different areas of the mental health field. I learned that I was drawn to work where I was able to make connections and support individuals through difficult moments. These experiences led me to pursue my degree in mental health counseling.

I graduated in December of 2025 with my Master’s of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark College and an Ecotherapy Certificate. I completed my undergraduate education at Stetson University where I obtained a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Science in Integrative Health Science.

As a graduate student, I volunteered at the Lewis and Clark Problem Gambling Clinic where I went on to work as a graduate assistant and then an intern. I am currently working on obtaining my CGAC-I. I also completed a secondary internship with the Healing Animal Partners Program (HAP) through LifeLine Connections where I learned about equine assisted psychotherapy. I continue to volunteer with HAPP while I pursue an equine assisted psychotherapy certification.

If you are curious, open, and seeking collaborative support in making positive changes in your life, we might be a good match! I enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals from various backgrounds who are seeking to improve their well-being.
