Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Sydney Keye, and I'm glad you're here.

What is a fun fact about myself?

I am the biggest animal lover! I currently have one cat (who is my pride and joy) and over my lifetime I have had 15 animals (including dogs, cats, birds, a hermit crab, and a hamster).

What can you expect as my client?

As my client, you can expect a warm and steady presence – someone who will help you feel grounded and supported as you work toward meaningful change. I believe you know yourself best, so rather than telling you what I think, I’ll ask thoughtful questions to help bring your own answers to the surface. I’ll always be affirming and non-judgmental, and we will be a team in this process – you won’t have to navigate it alone!

Who am I outside of therapy?

Outside of therapy, I’m a homebody who likes to bake, read, make fun art, and spend time with the family. If I’m home, there’s a good chance Parks & Rec or New Girl will be on in the background. When I do go out, it’s usually for a movie, a nice hike, or a swim and I always enjoy spending time with my friends.

Pronouns: She/Her

How did I become a therapist?

I’ve always been the “therapist friend” – the one people naturally turned to when they needed support, and I genuinely loved being that person for so many of my friends and family. I knew about the world of therapy but wasn’t quite sure how to get there. It wasn’t until my last year of undergrad that I discovered Marriage and Family therapy, and something clicked. The idea of helping all kinds of people through this work truly resonated with me, and I knew I had found the right path for me.

Ideal Clients

I am an advanced practice student working towards my Master’s in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy at Lewis & Clark. I have training in systemic and postmodern schools of thought, including structural family therapy, solutions-focused family therapy and narrative therapy. I also have brief training in sex therapy. I enjoy working with youth, adults, couples, individuals, and families.

My experience includes working in psychiatric private group practice, where I served as a triage lead, medical assistant aid, and acted as both an insurance and drug rep liaison. I have also co-lead adolescent group therapy and continue to build my skills through the training in my graduate program.

Someone who is open to doing the work, even if they’re not always sure where to start. I understand that therapy can be challenging, and I’m here to work alongside you to help you feel better and more understood than when you started. I value clients who are ready to explore what is on their mind, whether they know what to dive into or not, and who aren’t afraid to challenge me if something doesn’t feel quite right or they need something different.
