Hi, it's nice to meet you!

I'm Veronica Valdez, and I'm glad you're here.

What is a fun fact about myself?

What can you expect as my client?

I will center your personal experiences and identities in order to focus on healthier ways of coping, relating and communicating within your relationships. We will collaborate to create goals, name power dynamics, use strength-based and trauma-informed interventions, and value your resilience to affect change. I hope to empower you through direct yet empathic feedback to help you reach your best self, for you, your chosen/family and ultimately, your communities.

Who am I outside of therapy?

and family playing competitive games, having movie or game nights and singing karaoke. I also love to be in community salsa dancing.

How did I become a therapist?

Having grown up as the oldest child to a family struggling with substance use, I have first-hand experience of the impact of trauma, and the effects it has had on our family as a whole. These experiences encouraged me to pursue Marriage & Family therapy with a focus on addiction from Lewis and Clark College.
